We are a multinational English-speaking Church in the centre of Bern. We would be delighted to welcome you to our church service, or any of our Church prayer meetings, Bible Study and Life Groups.

OUR STORY: 

 

RiverLife is situated near the heart of the beautiful old city of Bern, where views of the mountains form a perfect backdrop on the skyline. The church was formerly called Bern International Evangelical Fellowship (BIEC) and was established in 1998. Its aim was to provide English-speaking internationals with a place to worship, grow and mature in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Eccl.11.1 (ESV) “Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days” has been an important verse for the church over the years with the idea of spreading the Gospel to the nations as they flow through.

As Christians, we come from a variety of church traditions, but we agree to concentrate on the basics of the Christian faith that unite rather than divide us. Though we come from many different countries and speak a variety of languages, we have chosen to worship God in our common tongue – English.

We are also members of the Evangelical Alliance of Switzerland.
